InfraStruXure InRow RC Service 35
Communication
Cooling Group
Once each InfraStruXure InRow RC has been connected through the A-link Controller Area Network
(CAN) bus, the individual units can share setpoints and temperature data.
Network Management Card to customer LAN
Connect the InRow RC to the customer LAN using the RJ-45 port on the user interface connection
box.
Network Management Card to ISX Manager
If the InRow RC is connected to the same network as the APC InfraStruXure Manager, the
InfraStruXure Manager will auto-detect the InRow RC. It is critical that the InRow RC be given a
unique name at either the local display or through one of the interfaces enabled by the Network
Management Card for easy identification on the InfraStruXure Manager. A secondary method is to
identify the unit by its IP address.
Unit to customer BMS
The InRow RC can be monitored and controlled by a building management system (BMS) using the
MODBUS protocol. Connect the unit to your BMS using the RS-485 connector on the customer
interface box.
Shutdown input contact and Alarm output contact
The unit provides one field connection input for remote shutdown and one field connection alarm
output.
