9. Select “Clear the Protection Counter Value”.
10. The following screen appears.

11. Select “Already replaced”. If you have selected “Have not replace”
because you have not replaced the waste ink pads, the screen
returns to the initial protection counter screen (Figure 5-46).
12. The following screen appears.

13. Press the ESC key twice to return to the initial protection counter
screen (Figure 5-46).
14. Select “Check Protection Counter” to verify the right and left ink pad
counter values are both “0”.

The waste ink pads m ust be replaced before clearing the counter.
