4.2.7.4 Pump/ASF Motor and Solenoid Removal
1. Remove the printer mechanism. (See Section 4.2.2.)
2. When removing the solenoid, remove one screw securing the
solenoid to the DE subassembly frame, and remove the solenoid.
To remove the pump/ASF motor, remove three screws securing the
DE subassembly frame to the back of the printer mechanism, then
remove the DE subassembly frame along with the pump/ASF motor.
3. Remove two screws securing the pump/ASF motor to the DE
subassembly frame, and remove the pump/ASF motor.

4.2.7.5 ASF Unit Removal
1. Remove the DE subassembly frame. (See Section 4.2.7.4.)
2. Inserting tweezers from the inner side, release the joint for the ASF
drive gear and the ASF drive shaft to remove the ASF drive gear.
3. Remove two screws securing the ASF unit.
4. Holding the paper hold lever up to the left, remove the ASF unit.

CAUTION
When install the ASF be sure to use the correct type of
the screws, as shown below:
Screw with a flat head: on the right toward the front
side of the printer.
Screw with a washer: on the left toward the front
side of the printer.
Screws securing the ASF Unit
