3.3.1 Two-to-Three Cables
To associate the MDF wire pairs and the MC modem ports, the two-to-three cable remaps the wire
pairs from the MC connectors to the MDF connectors. The cable is used in systems with dual-port
DMT-2 ATU-C modules installed in the MC.
Table 3-6lists the backplane connectors andthe part numbers forthe two-to-three cables connecting
the MC to the MDF in a Direct Connect without a PSC configuration.
Note This cable is not recommended if you plan on expanding your system to quad-port
xTU-C modules, which will be available in future releases.
Note When you use the two-to-three cable, see Table C-4 on page C-11 for port
mapping information.
Figure 3-11 shows the two-to-three cable.
