PSP™ updates
You can update using a UMD™ that contains update data.
Before starting, check that the battery is charged.
Notice
During an update:
– do not remove the UMD™
– do not turn off the system
– do not disconnect the AC adaptor
The system software may be damaged if the update is interrupted.
1 Connect the AC adaptor to the PSP™ system.
If the AC adaptor is not connected, the update data cannot be started.
2 Insert a UMD™ that contains update data.
The update data icon and version number are displayed under in the
home menu.
3 Select , and then press the button.
The update begins. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the
update.
If the version number of the update is displayed in the "System Software" field
under "System Information" ( page 93), the update was successful.
