Danger of scaldingಗEngine oil and gear oil get very hot when the motocycle is driven.
ಥ Wear suitable protective clothing and gloves. If you scald yourself, hold the affected area under cold water immediately.

ಥ Dispose of oil, grease, filters, fuel, cleaning substances, brake fluid, batteries, etc. according to regulations.

Drain the engine oil only when the engine is warm.
ಥ Stand the motorcycle on its side stand on a horizontal surface.

ಥ Place a suitable container under the engine.
ಥ Remove the oil drain plug
with the seal ring.
ಥ Completely drain the engine oil.
ಥ Thoroughly clean the oil drain plug with a magnet.
ಥ Clean the sealing area on the engine.
ಥ Check parts for damage and wear. Replace damaged or worn parts.
ಥ Refit oil drain plug
with seal ring and tighten it.

ಥ Loosen the plug with a few light hammer blows.
ಥ Remove plug
with oil screen and O-rings.
ಥ Completely drain the remaining engine oil.
ಥ Thoroughly clean parts and sealing area.
ಥ Check parts for damage and wear. Replace damaged or worn parts.
ಥ Fit and tighten plug
with oil screen and O-rings.
