APPENDIX A: USING THE Imerge S3000 INSTEAD OF THE XANTECH XMUSIC
The Imerge S3000 can be used instead of the Xantech XMUSIC. All of the previous information is
valid for the S3000.
However, the S3000 uses slightly different RS232 communications settings that the XMUSIC. This
appendix will demonstrate how to configure your MRC88m project to work with the S3000.
In the Project Options dialog (File->Project Options), select the RS232 tab. The RS232 settings for
the COM port for the XMUSIC will look like the following:
These are the default settings for the XMUSIC.
The default settings for the IMERGE though are Baud Rate -
57600, Data Bits - 8, Parity - None, and Stop Bits – 1.
Change the settings for the COM port to match the settings for
the S3000. When you are done, the settings for the COM port
should look like the following picture:
Click “OK” at the bottom of the dialog box to close the “Options”
dialog.
