- Switch on (fig. 5).
- For normal lighting a low
dimmer setting is advisable
(fig. 6).
If brighter light is required
you can set the dimmer to
a higher position (fig. 7).
Light therapy
- Hang the appliance on the
wall (fig. 2) or unfold the
stand (fig. 3) and place it on
a table top.
- Insert the plug into an
earthed wall socket (220-
240V) (fig. 4).
- Switch on (fig. 5) and select
maximum light output
(fig. 7).
- Position yourself in front of
the appliance (fig. 8).
For light therapy, the distance between your face and the
opalescent screen should be between 30 and 80 cm.
• The advisable duration of
the lightbath depends on the
selected operational
distance:
approx. 2 hours for a
distance of approx. 80 cm
(fig. 9);
approx. 1 hour for a
distance of approx. 55 cm
(fig. 10);
approx.
1
⁄2 hour for a
distance of approx. 30 cm
(fig. 11).
• You need not take the whole
lightbath without a break.
If it suits your schedule better, you may interrupt your
lightbath and continue it later.
Even the 30 minute session may be split into two sessions if
you wish.
• It is not necessary to stare in the lamps. So you are free to
engage in such activities as reading, writing, fancy-work or
handiwork (fig. 12, 13).
- After the lightbath rotate the dimmer anti-clockwise to switch
off (“Click!”) (fig. 14).
• Preferably have your
lightbaths between 8 o’clock
in the morning (a.m.) and 8
o’clock in the evening (p.m.)
(fig. 15).
• Repeat the lightbaths until
you feel better.
Generally, improvements
occur within 1-2 weeks.
So as a rule, repeat the
lightbath on at least 5
successive days (fig. 16).
After the lightbath
- If you wish to remove the
appliance: switch off and
unplug.
- Let the appliance cool down
first (± 15 min.) before
storing it away.
- You can lift the appliance
by its handle (fig. 17).
