Exporting to Microsoft Excel
Exporting a view to Microsoft Excel lets you view or store data in a spreadsheet
format. You can export data in Excel by clicking the
View Excel Version icon located
above the selector pane. This opens an Excel-based spreadsheet within a separate
browser window, as shown in Figure 32.

Exporting to PDF
Exporting a view to Portable Document Format (.pdf) lets you view or print data in a
format that can be viewed online, or annotated or edited within Adobe Acrobat
Exchange. You can export data in PDF format by clicking the
View PDF Version icon
located above the selector pane. This opens Adobe Acrobat within a separate browser
window, as shown in Figure 33.
TIP
The export view function icons in the results pane contain tool tips to help you determine
which icon performs what function. Move your pointer over a icon and a description appears.
NOTE
You can display both Excel (.xls) and Comma Separated Value (.csv) files as Excel
spreadsheets, however the format of each file is different. Internet Explorer settings
automatically import CSV and XLS files into Excel. However, CSV files let you download the
file and save it, without having to do so through Excel.
