3.4 PLC Mounting Arrangements
To prevent a rise in temperature, mount the units to walls. Never mount them to the floor or
ceiling of an enclosure.
Caution
• Units should mot be installed in areas subject to the following conditions: excessive or
conductive dust, corrosive or flammable gas, moisture or rain, excessive heat, regular
impact shocks or excessive vibration.
• Take special care not to allow debris to fall inside the unit during installation e.g. cut
wires, shavings etc. Once installation is complete remove the protective paper band: to
prevent overheating.
