All electrical wiring must be completed by a
qualified electrician and comply with all local codes
and regulations.
Wire Connections at the Motor
NOTE: Follow the instructions in the motor
manufacturer’s manual. Use a motor starter with
overload protection. Wire size, fuse size, and other
electrical devices must comply with all local codes
and regulations.
The motor must be wired to the VFD. Install the
wiring at the motor as follows:
1. Open the motor’s electrical box.
2. Install a strain relief in one of the ports at the
bottom of the motor box.
3. Connect the green ground wire to the ground
screw.
4. See Fig. 7 for 230 V motors and Fig. 8 for 460
V motors. Connect the wires to the bottom three
terminals (U, V, and W) in the motor box.
5. Close the motor electrical box.
