Recording
1. Recording your performance
Just as you would record your performance on a tape recorder, you can capture your playing on
the SP-500 song recorder. You can also record multiple tracks and edit any mistakes you may
make.
Basic recording (Realtime Recording)
Here’s how to record a song you play from the keyboard without using automatic accompani-
ment.

Press the RECORDER [RECORD] switch
When the basic screen is displayed, press the RECORDER [RECORD] switch. The “Rec
1/3” page will appear, and the [RECORD] switch will blink.
A “New Song” containing no performance data will be selected automatically.
If you want to record without using automatic accompaniment, turn the [ACC] switch

Check the tracks that you want to record, and select a program
Make sure that the “KBD,” “Control,” and “Chord” track buttons are set to “Rec.”

Press the “Program” cell, and select the program for the track you will play. (☞p.24)
If you want to use the Split or Layer function
Press the [SPLIT] switch or [LAYER] switch to select Split or Layer, and then select the
desired program. (☞p.26)
