LCD panel and infrared lens
The LCD (liquid crystal display) panel consists of the LCD, which
displays information about the current status of the printer, and buttons
that you can use to perform basic printer operations. The infrared lens
enables you to print from an infrared sending device.
1LCDDisplays messages relating to the current state of the printer
and the ink levels in the individual ink cartridges. For a complete
description of these messages, see LCD Messages.

OWER lightIs always lit when the printer is on. Blinks when printer
is initializing, cancelling a job, or turning off.
3 RESUME lightBlinks whenever the printer requires user
intervention (for example, to clear a paper jam or to close an open
cover.)
