If a selected port is unavailable, an error message is displayed You can go back
and select a different port.
C Click Next.
11 In the Other Parameters window, select the local time zone for this PATROL
DashBoard server and click
Next.
12 (optional) Complete the Mail Parameters window:
A Select the Enable Mail Service check box (unless you do not want to receive
notifications by e-mail) and specify the following information:
■ SMTP Server: Specify the name or IP address of the e-mail server.
■ DashBoard Address: Accept the default e-mail address.
The address of the PATROL DashBoard server is automatically generated
and displayed in the From field in the e-mail message.
■ Administrator Address: Specify an e-mail address to which to send a test
message.
This address can be any valid e-mail address; it is used only for testing the e-
mail function.
B (optional, but recommended) To send a test e-mail message to the specified
address, click
Test Mail.
If a problem is encountered, an error message is displayed. Before the next step,
verify that the e-mail message has been correctly received in your e-mail client.
C Click Next.
NOTE

environment in which different charset encodings are used, contact BMC Software
Customer Support.
