6.6.2 Camera Board Offset
Offset is the adjustment for total darkness as perceived by the cameras.
Equipment, Tools & Materials Required:
• Small flat head screwdriver or potentiometer tweaker
Camera Board Offset Adjustment Procedure: ( Repeat for Each Camera )
1. Activate “AUTOTAKE” and enter the number of the camera to be adjusted. See section
5.1.14.9 for details.
2. You should either see all zeroes or some numbers on the screen.
3. If you see all zeroes, turn the potentiometer (R17) on the camera board until you start to
see non-zero numbers.
4. As you observe the display, turn the potentiometer just until you see zeroes come up on
the screen.
6.6.3 Exposure Calibration
Exposure calibration compensates for the sensitivity differences between cameras. The
imaging lamps must be on for at least 10 minutes before performing this procedure. See
section 5.1.14.2 for details on how to use the software.
1. Thoroughly clean both sides of the scan window, using a glass cleaner.
2. Load a sheet of clean, Uniform white paper that covers the entire length of the scan
window into the scanner.
3. Select the “NE : Normalize Exposure” command in the Camera System Diagnostics. See
section 5.1.14.2 for details.
4. Press “Return” for all the prompts.
